On Thursday, November 9th (5pm-8pm) we will be having a pairing of epic proportions that is only fitting for San Diego Beer Week. There will be bottle pours! Head Brewer, Liz Chism selected our Third Anniversary Biere De Miel to be featured alongside Tropical Vibes IPA with Guava and Passion Fruit and Separate Haze, Hazy IPA paired with artisan creations by Nomad Donuts Head Pastry Chef, Kristianna Zabala.
Tickets are $17.00 per person. Pairings include three beer & donut pairings: (3) mini donuts and (3) 4 oz beer tasters. Tickets go on sale starting Monday, October 30th 12pm online, 2pm in the Tasting Room.
PAIRING 1 - 3rd Anniversary Biere de Miel and Champagne Style Honey Donut.
This pairing features our Third Anniversary Biere De Miel (11.2% ABV), a champagne inspired Farmhouse Ale fermented and aged with honey in oak barrels for 18 months and cellared for an additional 9 months prior to initial release. The Third Anniversary Ale will be paired with a Champagne style mini donut with honey mascarpone custard and lavender sugar.
PAIRING 2 Separate Haze IPA & Scotch Quail Egg Savory Donut
A step away from the typical hop combinations, Separate Haze (6.7% ABV) is dry hopped with Motueka, Rakau, and Centennial creating a soft Hazy IPA with notes of citrus zest and peaches. Paired with a scotch quail egg, sage chicken pork sausage, butternut squash cake with a chamomile glaze you’ll be amazed by this crazy good combination.
PAIRING 3 Tropical Vibes IPA & Tropical Donut
Appropriately named, Tropical Vibes (6.8% ABV), this IPA with Guava and Passion Fruit will have you dreaming of that island life. Mosaic and Citra hops compliment the intense tropical fruit flavors from real guava and passion fruit providing just enough bitterness for balance. Keeping with the “Tropical Vibes” of this beer, Kristianna will be pairing it with a banana pineapple jam and guava mini donut.
