Batch #3 Released April 29th, 2016 - Deadlock, Dark Sour Aged on Black Currants
Deadlock Dark Sour (7.3% ABV) is a series of barrel aged American dark sour ales that are fermented with a mixed culture of Brettanomyces, and Lactobacillus and then aged on berry fruits. For the Spring 2016 release, we chose to age this beer on black currants. Deadlock has rich notes of chocolate covered black currants and deep, barrel complexity. The Lacto and Brett provide supporting tartness and earthy wild grown fruit notes. Bottle conditioned to help the flavors evolve over the seasons.

Batch #1 Released June 13th, 2015 - Deadlock, Dark Sour Aged on Raspberries
Deadlock, our seventh barrel aged bottle release , is an American Dark Sour Ale that will pucker your lips and melt your soul. This seasonally released beer isn't all April showers and May flowers though, Deadlock's spring version was aged on raspberries with dark malt flavors that give rich notes of chocolate covered raspberries. Its impish qualities come through with Lactobacillus giving its signature tartness and toning down the sweetness. Brettanomyces lends a deeper flavor more reminiscent of wild grown fruit. Subtle complexities from the oak barrel come through to carry the flavor to the finish and is bottle conditioned to help the flavors evolve over the seasons.
